2012 is calling me back...

 Hello again!

Two posts in one week! I can't believe this. So, I recently came across a Vinted item.

Back, in 2011 I bought my first house and I didn't earn a lot of money. I have always kind of shopped the same way, which I found at the time blogging without its height, with a little bit inaccessible to most. The reason for this, is because I have always bought myself, via sale racks eBay, charity shops, and various other secondhand all low cost places.

One of the smaller

bloggers who I discovered at the time. Is this amazing writer called Anna Lou Elliott, what  I especially enjoyed about her content was she has a very simple classic way of dressing and she'd always buy these really beautiful pieces that were investments or she would find a fantastic alternative.

I remember in 2012, she shared this amazing acne studio's suede blue jacket and a mango version of it as well. I am rarely inspired by people in the respect that I will go out and buy exactly what someone is wearing. I take inspiration from people, and I tend to put my own spin on what has inspired me. I have never been one to outright just copy someone. However, there are a few pieces, the Anna has inspired me with over the years. One of them is a top shop crocodile effect slouchy leather tote. She shared this, in I believed when he turned or 2011 and I ended up getting my hands on it a few years later via eBay. The other piece that I was absolutely obsessed with comma was the blue suede biker jacket. I managed to track down the mango version of the jacket in 2018. I found it via eBay for under 20 pounds and I love it and I do still regularly wear it. (I do admit it did have to go into storage for a bit due to house renovations)

However, the reason for my post is the more expensive Acne maple suede biker jacket, has come into my possession. I recently sold a few bits and pieces on eBay. I have been a lot more careful with the things that I'm buying over the last few years. There are a few pieces from the 2010s era, that I wanted to desperately own but didn't have the money at the time due to having bought a house. And then we sold that bought another house and we did several years of renovations.

So my list of items were number one a Alexander McQueen skull scarf, this I managed to get hold off second hand on vintage last year for £25.

Another wishlist item comma was a Lulu Guinness perspex lips clutch. I managed to acquire several of these although damage they have been fixed and upcycled with crystals and are all completely unique.

I was on vintage the other day, and I just on a whim comma typed in acne blue suede jacket. A listing came up, and it was the tracker for £30. I put in a cheeky offer, for £15 and including postage and packaging the whole thing was about £20 pounds.

The jacket has arrived, and I have done full review and checked it all through and it also had a authentication tag from a consignment store. I managed to find this fantastic jacket that originally retailed for a thousand pounds in 2012 for £20.

I cannot begin to tell you, how excited and happy I am to have acquired such a fantastic piece. The thing that makes me sad, is a genuinely don't believe this jacket has been worn since 2016. The jacket is in near immaculate condition it had a couple of marks which have cleared off with a suede brush. I am absolutely obsessed with this jacket and I'm so looking forward to wearing in styling it and being able to share that with you.

Thank you to Anna for being an inspiration, and it is fantastic to finally have the time to continue writing blue glitter and to be able to share with you guys the things that I love and enjoy and make.

I am hoping in 2025, to be able to bring the same kind of quality of posting and sharing things with you that I used to. I acknowledge in the last few years my posts have taped off and have been quite short for stop this is due to me having a chronic health issue. The life I used to have pre-covid is very different to the life I have now. I still have a massive lava fashion and history of fashion but how I work clothing and when and where I wear clothing is very different. I know longer go into an office every day so I know long in need to have a million different outfit combinations and I don't need to have a ridiculously large wardrobe but the pieces I have are genuinely cherished and loved.

Thank you for Reading today, and I am going to share with you the original 2012 blog post that inspired me. Anna no longer has her blog however she is in the process of writing a fantastic book which I will also link and I hope you enjoyed downloading and Reading.

Today which is Monday the 20th of January 2025 is supposed to be the saddest day of the year also known as Blue Monday. On this Monday, I found an item of my dreams which happens to be blue!
