I am hoping this year will be a fantastic year after I have been quite a interesting of mixed couple of years. I did a lot of Hand bag shopping last year. As you know, I am a massive handbag farm. I read a fantastic book in 2017, called I want to be her. This book charts the authors style evolution and inspirations from various women they have encountered throughout their life. I was really taken with someone who she went to university with who basically through all the stuff into a large Louis Vuitton speedy.
I am a massive massive and consumer in terms of reading about fashion fashion fashion about a lot of designers and things like that. I grew up as a teenager in the 2000s when it was like a really high and stuff High Street, or DIY stuff. If you look at Britney Spears in a lot of her music videos at the time, you’ll see a lot of like DIY outfits. I’ve always loved the idea, of making the most of the things you have.
I in the last 10 years have been a massive fan of fashion I remember when I started this blog in 2010 it was at the very kind of beginning a fashion blog DIY tumblr. It’s always been a passion of mine and I’ve kind of moved over from blogs, to YouTube and TikTok. However, that love of reading about fashion and trends and things and being inspired has never gone away. So, last year I got my hands on a very coveted piece for my handbag collection.

However, the love of reading about fashion and trends and things and being inspired has never gone away. So, last year I got my hands on a very coveted piece for my handbag collection.
In 2021, As shared on the blog I bought a 1992, speedy 25. However, I always wanted the 30 because I thought it would be a fantastic size. I started looking around one early last year, and around Easter time, I found exactly what I was looking for. I originally wanted a bag you know if it was made the year I was born in the month would’ve been great. However when I was originally searching in 2021, I could only find a speedy bandolier. It wasn’t what I wanted. However, when I was searching early last year I came across a few Japanese sellers on eBay. I bought my speedy 25 from a Japanese seller via eBay. I found what I was looking for there’s a really good seller who am I found what I wanted what was in my budget. I’ll put it on my watchlist and within 24 hours they offered me a significant discount. I went running to my Cobbler friend Dean who Advise me on the condition wasn’t amazing but it was pretty good. I thought about it, for quite awhile and in the end. I decided that was going to be my birthday present to myself. When it arrived I was over the moon, you’re probably asking yourself how do you know it’s genuine?
When I was doing my research between 2017 and 2021, I found various sources online about how to authenticate vintage Louis Vuitton. I used those tools to verify and authenticate my 2021 purchase. I was concerned about the condition of the new speed diverting and I actually did submit it to a verified auction house for them to give me a second opinion they made me an offer and they did authenticate and that they said they believe it was A genuine article of Louis Vuitton.

So the thing about this bag that I am in love with, is it versatile it’s got a great size. Also is exactly what I wanted it to be it ended up being probably one of my most used bags of the year. But one thing I really enjoyed last year that was a massive trend, in your bag. Taken after the icon this is Jane Birkin. The only thing that disappointed me about this trend, is the fact a lot of people were out buying pieces some charms and chains without really thinking about it. And it’s something I’ve noticed in fashion especially with the rise of TikTok. A lot of people, are buying bits and pieces or buying bags of clothes and I believe the turn of phrase, is a micro trend. And the thing that I thought was kind of sad is fantastic people are trying to be more individual. However, I think it’s sad when people are just mass buying things, for a trend. The reason I say this, is when I was in my blocking days in 20 terms, I bought a load of bits and pieces to go on my bags. I have sofa pom-poms, I have an initial charm, I have various crystal heart charms.
I have always used these pieces, to customise and make my bags my own. So what I’ve decided to do with this friend, is make my own version. What I was inspired by is a small penguin coin purse I was given as a kid. And I found it while I was going through my stuff and unpacking. And I thought would not look for my bag. I I bought several pieces secondhand, from vinted.com and I love them. Like about this particular bag Is the bag is just now covered in penguins and it looks fantastic. It looks like nothing of any of my other bags because most of all there already decorated, in such a way. I also bought a small secondhand leather and it’s a handmade piece, some newborn holiday decided they didn’t want. And it’s in brown tones, which suits the vachetta leather
And I’ve been sharing this bag absolutely everywhere it’s so silly, but it really does bring me a lot of joy and like I said, it’s nothing like the rest of my bags. And I just wanted to share with you that I bought this beautiful bag I’ve absolutely been loving it using it I love that it is covered in penguins. Penguins have been a massive passion of mine, since I was six years old. So that’s over 30 years. And it’s been really fantastic to find a farm and different way of putting my own version on a trend of knowledge, I have bought pieces for this but they are all secondhand. Bar one which is key fob. The rest of The pieces, were in my watchlist on the platform for probably six months?
I have enjoyed going a little bit crazy with these charms but what’s nice, is those charms will be used on other bags and they’re just fun! So I wanted to share with you my speedy 30 and it’s been a fantastic bag I must admit, it is heavy when it’s got stuff in it to the point when I’ve had my floor on it has actually not because it was so full it was ridiculous I don’t tend to carry, too much heavy stuff because of my back.
